WMicrotracker Smart
Behaviour of small animals populations in function of time
and space. Including Multiworm path tracking.
Wmicrotracker SMART is optimized for path tracking of animals cultured in
liquid, solid or air medium by using a 35mm Petri dish.
It has been validated for tracking of C.elegans cultured on NGM.

1. FOR WHAT?
It is a modular bug tracking system to quantify small organisms behavior insmall Petri dish format (35mm Petri dish).
It allows to get reliable quantification of animal population movement.It has the capability to work in 2 different modes:
• Face-down IR Imaging : Allows the Multi Worm Path Tracking using NGM cultures.
• IR Light Scattering : Allows the overall quantification of worm movement in liquid and NGM culture using a
big microbeam infrared array (equivalent to ARENA funcionality).

Application Examples
WORM AGING ASSAY
20 adult C.elegans were cultured in a 35mm Petri Dish with NGM+FuDR. Data acquisition has been performed once a day, using 5 minute acquisition lapse. Plates were subjected to “tap” stimulation before each meassure. The plot shows the single worms trails on the plate, and its reduction with age.
