크론병 장간막 지방 마이크로바이옴 (Microbiome Origins of Creeping Fat in Crohn’s Disease)
• Presented by : Dr. Connie W. H. Ha, PhD F. Widjaja Foundation Inflammatory Bowel and Immunobiology Research Institute Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA • Presented Live : Oct 29, 2020
Webinar Topics Include
• In many Crohn’s disease patients, their mesenteric fat tissue has a peculiar creeping activity and it specifically wraps around the site of intestinal inflammation.
• Gut bacteria can translocate to the fat and remain viable, but the bacterial profile of creeping fat is distinct from healthy fat tissue and from ulcerative colitis, the other form of inflammatory bowel disease.
• Anaerobic Clostridium innocuum seems to thrive in creeping fat and the clinical isolates of this species was studied using Biolog AN MicroPlates™, providing interesting insights into their metabolic capabilities.
• Creeping migration of the fat is initially a protective mechanism to prevent the gut bacteria from getting into the bloodstream, but ends up making the disease worse.
